Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce July breakfast sponsored by Lozier Corportation

On July 29th the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Business Connections Breakfast at the facilities of Lozier Corporation.

As part of the event, Lozier CEO Andy Lozier and Chief People Officer Tammy Carlson spoke about the history of the company in front of business leaders; he said he was proud and honored to have them at his facilities.  All Lozier staff shared the benefits of working with the company, as well as their education and training opportunities.

As the community guest, the NHCC presented Dulce Sherman, community leader and owner of Sherman Executive Consulting Services. Dulce gave a professional development topic to the audience, addressing the problem under discussion at the national level about the lack of employees due to the various open positions that exist in all corporations. Sherman asked that the benefits offered by the companies be analyzed, as well as the inclusion plan that they may have for their employees.

The members of the board of directors of the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce  Diva Mejias, Tony Vega, Abril Garcia, Guadalupe Millan, Regina Costello and Yesenia Peck took this opportunity to thank two young interns who supported them over the summer, New York University intern Jaden Garcia and Siembra program high school intern Hayde Rivera. Both shared what they learned this summer with the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the impact it had on them and their career prospects.

The group celebrated the induction of several new members, including No More Empty Pots and CASA for Douglas County, before taking a tour of the North Plant operation, lead by Operations Support Specialist Joe Collins.
