Cold-Link Logistics Honored as Prestigious Iowa Venture Award “Outstanding Business of the Year”
Recognizing Entrepreneurial Spirit and Community Investment
The Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), in collaboration with its Rural Electric Cooperative partners, proudly honored six growing Iowa companies with the Iowa Venture Award at a luncheon held in conjunction with the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting.
One of the honorees of this legacy award is Cold-Link Logistics, nominated by Woodbury County Rural Electric Cooperative.
In 2016, brothers Michael, Mark & Nick Mandich embarked on a new career trajectory, founding Cold-Link Logistics. From a humble bay freezer facility in Doral, Florida, they leaped into the logistics industry. Today, with 14 members in management and over 200 employees across five states, Cold-Link is a full-service logistics company driven by family values and innovative cold chain solutions.
The company’s expansion to Sioux City, initiated in 2021, reflected a strategic move after identifying the need for a cold storage warehouse in the Midwest. From meticulous planning, customer engagement, and infrastructure development, the 189,000 sq ft facility, poised for future expansion, became a reality in March 2023. Key customers include Wells Blue Bunny, Purdue Premium Meats, and empirical, among others. The Cold-Link Logistics team has grown to over 75 members.
Cold-Link Logistics, committed to employee welfare and customer-centric solutions, anchors itself in the heart of the Sioux City community, ready for a future of successful partnerships and continuous growth.
Woodbury County REC provides power to the Southbridge Business Park and has supported park upgrades to accommodate Cold Link Logistics’ and future tenants’ needs.
“Founded by brothers Michael, Mark & Nick Mandich, Cold-Link Logistics exemplifies the spirit of innovation and family-driven values,” stated IADG President/CEO Bruce Nuzum. “The strategic expansion to Sioux City, culminating in the 189,000 sq. ft. facility, reflects their commitment to customer-centric solutions and community integration. We proudly recognize Cold-Link Logistics as the Iowa Venture Award Outstanding Business of the Year, celebrating their dedication to continuous growth.”
