Important information about debris drop-off at the Pheasant Point Landfill

With tornado clean-up efforts underway, Paul Johnson, director of Douglas County
Emergency Management Agency, said homeowners should contact their insurance companies
immediately regarding property damage and planned clean-up efforts.


Here’s some important information you need to know about dropping off debris at the
Pheasant Point Landfill, located at 13505 N 216th St. in Bennington:

  • The landfill will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
  • Green debris limbs must be cut into pieces 4 feet or smaller.
  • The debris can be mixed. There is no need to separate the debris.
  • Home appliances and hazardous materials are not accepted.
    Residents who have suffered damage to their homes are encouraged to call 2-1-1 or go online
    at dogis.org/211 to make a report.
