Traveling Exhibition, “This is my Mexico,” Arrives to Omaha
The Mexican Consulate in Omaha has taken a significant step in cultural promotion and outreach to Mexican children residing abroad. As part of this initiative, the consulate announced the arrival of the Traveling Exhibition of the Children’s Drawing Contest “This is my Mexico” for the years 2022 and 2023 to the city of Omaha. This exhibition, which is visiting ten cities in the United States for the first time in history, includes a collection of 79 drawings made by the winners of the aforementioned editions. The annual drawing contest, open to children from all over the world between the ages of 6 and 14, has proven to be a showcase of the artistic talent of the young participants. The quality and creativity of the drawings presented are truly impressive, reflecting the rich culture and biodiversity of Mexico through the eyes of children. The opening of this outstanding exhibition took place last Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at El Museo Latino, located at 4701 S 25TH ST, Omaha, NE. The event took place from 6 to 8 pm and was attended by various personalities and members of the local community.
