Pollo Campero Targets Nebraska for Expansion

Pollo Campero, the Central American chicken franchise with 350 locations worldwide, is setting its sights on Nebraska for its next phase of U.S. expansion. After surpassing 100 U.S. locations and experiencing significant revenue growth in 2023, the company plans to maintain this momentum by opening 25 more restaurants in 2024.

Nebraska’s economic growth and population increase make it an attractive target for Pollo Campero’s expansion strategy. Vice President of Franchise Development, Blas Escarcega, highlighted the state’s thriving finance and insurance sectors and growing workforce as key factors.

The franchise is considering Omaha, Gretna, and Lincoln due to their growth potential and stability. Although there are no immediate plans for Nebraska locations, Pollo Campero aims to open one in 2027, followed by two more in 2029. The state’s stable and affordable real estate market is also a significant draw for the brand’s expansion efforts.

Pollo Campero is actively seeking franchise partners in Nebraska and will meet with potential entrepreneurs to explore opportunities. The brand also plans expansions in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Northern Florida, Utah, South Texas, and Colorado.
