Woman Arrested for Complicity in Jordan Beardshear’s Homicide

Reyna P. Castellanos was arrested on July 25, 2024, by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and the South Sioux City Police Department. She faces charges of complicity in a class 1 felony (murder), complicity in a felony not classified as class 4, an aggravating misdemeanor, and providing false information. These charges relate to the murder of Jordan Beardshear, who was killed by Alfredo Castellanos-Rosales in Dakota Dunes, SD, in April 2023. Alfredo and Reyna Castellanos are married.

On April 26, 2023, authorities attempted to locate Alfredo at his workplace but were unsuccessful. Reyna was interviewed and initially denied any knowledge of Alfredo’s involvement in the crime. However, evidence from her cell phone revealed a recorded conversation in which Alfredo confessed to the murder and sought help to flee the country.

Reyna admitted to picking up Alfredo, assisting him with financial transactions, and transporting him to various locations to avoid capture. Alfredo eventually fled to Mexico but was detained and handed over to U.S. Marshals on May 12, 2023. He is currently in custody.
