NEBRASKA – The Center for Rural Affairs will soon hold the following events:

Fremont, Neb. – Latina Women’s Business Conference: Creating a Legacy (Spanish only), Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m., at the Fremont City Auditorium, 925 N. Broad St. Join us for a unique event, presented in Spanish, that brings together women leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from different industries. At this conference, women will feel empowered with the tools and resources they need to create and strengthen their professional and personal endeavors. Online – October Civic Engagement Series, Thursdays, Oct. 17 and 24, at 11 a.m. Take part in the conversation and join the Center for Rural Affairs and the Heartland Environmental Justice Center in learning about civic engagement strategies, opportunities to make progress on environmental justice challenges, and tools to advocate for community resources. This webinar series will focus on building community power and increasing participation in environmental decision-making. Pierce, Neb. – Keys to Success, Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m., at the Lied Pierce Public Library, 207 W. Court St. Creating a business plan is one of the keys to a successful business.
