The Nebraska Small Business Assistance Act: Support for Local Entrepreneurs
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business? Maybe you’ve already taken the first step and want to take your business to the next level. However, starting a business can be challenging, especially when you do not have the appropriate resources or knowledge.
For those looking to boost their businesses in Nebraska, the Small Business Assistance Act offers an invaluable opportunity. This program, established by the Nebraska Legislature, provides grants to local businesses to encourage economic growth and entrepreneurship in the region. The program will be open until March 2025 or until the grant fund is exhausted.
To qualify for these benefits, applicants must meet specific requirements:
1- Be a for-profit company based in Nebraska.
2- Be at least 19 years old and be a resident of the United States.
3- Not be the owner of another company with a participation greater than 51%.
4- Meet the specific requirements of each benefit.
Additionally, the applicant’s business project must be ready to be implemented, which involves having a detailed business plan that clearly identifies target markets and revenue projections for the next three years. According to Rosenda Ovalle, this program is made for those who need financial help who do not have to return; in addition, the following additional orientation will be offered as an information session completely in Spanish on March 19, from 10 to 11 in the morning, from the south campus of Metropolitan Community College.
This session will provide information on how to access resources available at the local and state level and practical tips for perfecting your business plan. With the Nebraska Small Business Assistance Act, the path to business success is closer than ever. Don’t miss the opportunity to make your entrepreneurial dreams come true!
