Gothenburg, Nebraska, August 5, 2016 – Livin’ Out Loud is excited to announce a free 2-day family event in Gothenburg, Nebraska Saturday, August, 20th starting at 5:20pm and Sunday, August 21th at 10:45am. This Free 2-day outdoor event will be held at the Gothenburg 4-plex, across from the high school and near the baseball fields. Saturday events will start at 5:20pm and feature bands  Newsboys, Meredith Andrews, The Digital Age, 7eventh Time Down and Stars Go Dim. Special guest speaker will be Keith Becker of the Todd Becker Foundation. Becker will also lead the community wide outdoor church service on Sunday morning at 10:00 am, with The Digital Age and Meredith Andrews leading the worship. “Livin’ Out Loud was created to build unity among churches throughout the community, to focus on our common beliefs and come together to glorify Christ,” explains Joe Wahlgren of Gothenburg. “In 2015, we had over 6,500 people attend and dozens of churches participate. This year, we hope to exceed that number.”

Livin’ Out Loud not only views this Free 2-day event as a unity builder among Christians in Gothenburg and surrounding areas, but also as a wonderful outreach tool to those who have yet to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “This Christ-centered, family fun, outdoor event is a great way to invite friends and family that may not be comfortable joining you inside a church building on a Sunday morning,” explains Russ Tripp of Gothenburg. “There will be food vendors, and exceptional, heartfelt music. It should be a very memorable event.” To make this event free every year we ask people to donate or sponsor the event. If you or your business is interested in supporting this event please email ‘livinoutloudministries@gmail.com or call 308 529 0067. See you there.

About Livin’ Out Loud

Livin’ Out Loud was created out of a vision from Gothenburg community members who

asked “why not”. If folks can close off streets for a bar party, why can we not close off streets

to glorify Christ? In 2012, the first community wide event took place in downtown

Gothenburg with over 450 attendees. From there the vision grew to include worship bands

and speakers all in the name of the One Who Saves. In August 2013, Livin’ Out Loud put on

the first community-wide outdoor free concert featuring Tenth Avenue North and had over

3,500 attendees. Livin’ Out Loud’s focus is to help unify the body of Christ in corporate

praise and outreach to those who have not heard the Gospel.

About Keith Becker

The Todd Becker Foundation travels throughout the Midwest and puts on an assembly presentation to public high schools,

grades 9-12. The assembly unfolds the tragic and life-changing choices that ultimately led to the death of Todd Becker.

Seen by over 50,000 high school students in the Midwest, the story is told largely by Todd’s older brother, Keith, and

includes live music from the touring band “Chye”, graphic images, videos and many other media elements. Typically two

separate assemblies are put on when the Todd Becker Foundation visits a local high school. The first is the afternoon

assembly for grades 9-12, which is held during school hours. This assembly tells the tragic Todd Becker story and challenges

students to take the narrow road, according to the scripture, Matthew 7:13. The major focus of this message is choices and

their consequences. That same evening, another separate assembly is put on where the touring band “Chye” puts on a concert

and an entirely different story and message is presented. This evening event is largely a faith-based, Christian message.
