One arrested in arson case in Sioux City

On June 27, at 12:56 pm, Sioux City Fire and Rescue and the Sioux City Police Department were notified of a car on fire in a garage in the 1800 block of Virginia Street. Witnesses reported seeing three people next to the garage when the fire was reported. Officers located the subjects a short distance away and detained them as it had been determined that the cause of the fire was arson. Detectives charged 27-year-old Shaw-Keem Goodman of Sioux City with 1st-degree arson and booked him into the Woodbury County Jail. The other two subjects were released without charge.
