La Esquinita: New Central American and Mexican store in Sioux City

Making the great American dream come true is not easy for many Latin Americans, but some immigrants continue to strive to make their expectations come true and, at the same time, provide an excellent service to all those who, like them, are far from their homeland.

The owners of Abarrotes “La Esquinita” decided to open a store specializing in Central American and Mexican products at 1528 Center in Sioux City, IA, where they offer top-quality fruits and vegetables.

In the store, it is possible to find fresh tomatoes, exquisite onions, very spicy chilies (in three versions: jalapenos, poblanos, and habaneros), immense and rosy cabbages, impressive bananas, all the existing species of nopales, and a wide variety of tejocotes. Additionally, the store imports products directly from Mexico, including the traditional Virgencitas de Guadalupe, comfortable atole cups, and unique pots for cooking beans.
