First Aid Training at the Latino Center of the Midlands

The Latino Center of the Midlands is pleased to announce an important event that seeks to empower the community by acquiring vital skills to act in emergencies. This first aid training, designed for both adults and children, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

During this practical session, participants will acquire essential knowledge in areas such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and first aid fundamentals. These skills are essential for providing quick and practical assistance in emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke, choking, and serious injuries.

The importance of having first aid training cannot be underestimated. In many cases, the quick and appropriate response of first responders can make the difference between life and death. For this reason, the Latino Center of the Midlands has dedicated itself to offering this valuable training to the community, with the goal of empowering individuals of all ages to be prepared to act in critical moments. During the course, participants will receive hands-on instruction from qualified and experienced medical professionals in emergency care. They will learn CPR techniques, including how to perform chest compressions and proper ventilations, as well as how to use an AED to restore normal heart rhythm in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Additionally, they will be taught how to evaluate and treat common injuries, such as cuts, burns, fractures, and more. The training will also include information on how to recognize emergency signs and how to request help appropriately.

Participants will learn to stay calm and make quick and effective decisions in stressful situations, which can make a difference in the final result. Registration is open for this important event, and those interested are encouraged to reserve their spot as soon as possible. For more details on the training and to register, interested parties can call 402-733-2720 and ask for Joanna, who will be happy to provide additional information and assist with the registration process.
