Congratulations to Christian Gomez: 2024 Recipient of the Bob Wilson / Hastings Area Manufacturers Association Scholarship

The Hastings Area Manufacturers Association is proud to announce Christian Gomez as the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Bob Wilson / Hastings Area Manufacturers Association Scholarship. Christian will be embarking on an exciting academic journey this fall at Central Community College, where he plans to major in an area of industrial arts.

This scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Bob Wilson, the former General Manager of Flowserve in Hastings. Bob was a key figure in the Manufacturing Pathway initiative, which significantly enhanced the Hastings High School Skills and Technical Sciences Program. His efforts also contributed to making the Hastings Middle School Technical Sciences Program one of the most advanced in Nebraska.

The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing a career in industrial arts at Central Community College. Christian’s dedication and passion for this field have earned him this notable recognition, and he is poised to continue the tradition of excellence that the scholarship represents.
