Contractors Invited to Learn About Opportunities at Southside Terrace Phase III

On February 11, 2026, a Contractor Information Event will be held focusing on the Southside Terrace Phase III project, a major housing development initiative in Omaha. The event will take place from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Metropolitan Community College – South, Center for Advanced Manufacturing, located at 2709 Edward Babe Gomez Ave., Omaha, NE 68107.

During the event, a subcontractor bidding opportunity will be presented, as Sampson Construction has been selected as the project’s general contractor. The event will include resource tables and informational sessions in English (5:30–6:10 p.m.) and Spanish (6:30–7:10 p.m.), with the goal of ensuring equitable access to information for all interested participants.

In addition, attendees will receive an update on the “Choose Southside–Indian Hill” construction program, a review of government requirements, and access to technical assistance from local service providers, designed to support businesses and contractors throughout the participation process.

The event is intended for general contractors, subcontractors, skilled trades workers, and Section 3–interested businesses, all of whom are encouraged to attend and learn firsthand about the opportunities available through this high-impact community development project.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with key resources, explore new opportunities, and become part of this important development project. To request additional accommodations or for more information, interested individuals may contact:

This event is organized in collaboration with the City of Omaha, Brinshore Development, the Omaha Housing Authority, Sampson Construction, the Greater Omaha Chamber, HUD, and Canopy South, as part of a joint effort to promote economic development, inclusion, and local contractor participation in strategic community projects.
