Expansión de un negocio en el área de Vinton realizado con una beca de la ciudad de Omaha y un crédito de MLCDC

Blanca Tenorio Rodríguez compró el Restaurante y Pupusería La Salvadoreña en el año 2013. El restaurante ofrece comida típica salvadoreña y hondureña, así como algunos platos mexicanos. En enero del 2017, Blanca llegó a MLCDC para tomar una clase de “Cómo Iniciar o Crecer un Negocio” porque quería mejorar y ofrecer nuevos servicios. Después de terminar la clase solicitó un préstamo a través del programa de Micro-créditos de MLCDC el cual le fue aprobado por $ 15,000.

Ella también solicitó una beca de la ciudad de Omaha por $10,000 y también le fue aprobada.

Estas becas fue otorgadas por la ciudad de Omaha por estar ubicada en una área que la ciudad desea mejorar en el área de Vinton (Vecindario Deer Park). Ella invertirá ese dinero en mejorar la imagen del restaurante: pintándolo, comprando un aviso más grande y comprando un nuevo mobiliario al interior del negocio. Además abrirá un nuevo mercado al interior del restaurante donde venderá productos cárnicos de Salvador, Honduras y de México. ¡Sabemos que el negocio de Blanca seguirá teniendo gran éxito! Business Expansion in the Deer Park Neighborhood (Vinton Street) funded with a grant from the city of Omaha and a MLCDC’s loan

Blanca Tenorio Rodriguez purchased a Restaurante and Pupuseria La Salvadoreña, an existing business in 2013. The restaurant offers typical Salvadorian and Honduran food as well as some Mexican dishes. In January of 2017, Blanca came to MLCDC to take a business development class because she wanted to expand her business. After finishing the class, she applied for a loan through MLCDC’s Micro- Lending program and was approved for $15,000.00. She also applied for a grant with the city of Omaha for $10,000 and this grant was also approved. This grant was awarded by the city Omaha because the business is located in the Deer Park Neighborhood rehabilitation project.

Blanca Tenorio will invest that money in improving the appearance of the restaurant by painting it, purchasing a new sign and many other upgrades to the interior of the restaurant. She will begin a meat market in the restaurant to sell Salvadorian, Honduran and Mexican meet. We know Blanca’s business will contribute with the creation of new jobs.
