New Executive Direct

The Mary J. Treglia Community House is pleased to announce J. Rebecca (Becky) Carlson as the new executive director of the nonprofit devoted to welcoming, educating, empowering, and advocating for new Siouxland families.

Carlson comes to Mary J. Treglia Community House with a long history of helping Siouxland community members. She began her professional career with the Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence and has also held positions with the Center for Siouxland and the Siouxland District Health Department. Ms. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa. The Mary J. Treglia Community House Board of Directors believe that Carlson’s background and experience will be an asset to the organization.

The Mary J. Treglia Community House was established in 1921 to help families achieve self-sufficiency and help children learn to succeed in school and in life. Many programs and services are provided which include immigration classes and legal services, translating and interpretation, preschool services, and more. Ms. Carlson will be responsible for overseeing operations and leading staff, marketing / public relations, and grant and financial management.

Carlson tiene una licenciatura en artes de la Universidad del Norte de Iowa. La Junta Directiva de Mary J.
