Interfaith Candlelight Prayer Vigil

Please join Pax Christi South Dakota, Presentation Sisters, and the Multi-Cultural Center of Sioux Falls, along with local Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Indigenous, Jewish, and Muslim communities in coming together for the common goals of peace and diversity.

This is a gathering to lift up all the major faiths in Sioux Falls to stand united for our families and communities living in Sioux Falls. This is to promote spreading the light and love of diversity and culture. Not only will we be representing different faiths but different cultures.

This event will be held in the parking lot of First Congressional Church located at 300 S. Minnesota Ave on July 22nd from 8:00 to 9:00pm. Parking will be located at First Lutheran’s Church at 327 S Dakota Ave, immediately to the south. Please bring a lawn chair for your comfort. Light refreshments will be served after.

“This prayer vigil is to show that you can also have change through peaceful events much like what Gandhi and Mother Theresa did through their works,” stated Christy Nicolaisen, Executive Director of the Multi-Cultural Center of Sioux Falls. “All are welcome.”

“We hear stories of conflict between races and religions almost every day through media. We, as brothers and sisters, are coming together to witness that we all live together and form a beautiful community,” added Josh Grode Wolters, Pax Christi South Dakota.
