A great solidarity action: “Siouxland Habitat for Humanity” organized a “Studfinder Event” on the Harry Hopkins campus
It is important to help others when you have the opportunity, and in keeping with that goal, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity hosted a “Studfinder Event” last Wednesday at Sioux City Career Academy’s Harry Hopkins Campus.
Sioux City Community School District students are learning all the skills necessary to build homes through the nonprofit partnership and have made significant progress since they began their training in early October.
The companies and students who helped sponsor the project wrote messages on the studs intended for the family who will live in the house they are building.
This home will be moved to the Riverside area of Sioux City next spring.
During the meeting, the Sioux City Career Academy culinary students served a delicious meal that confirmed their talent and everything they had learned over these months. (Siouxland for Habitat Photos)
